My friends and I were always keen for a Jazz Night out and stumbled upon Doo-Bop Bar. The downstairs area commonly know as 'The Basement' housed a dark atmospheric throwback vibe which had a very fun band playing some jazzified and saxified covers. Doo-Bop Bar had good cocktails and a fantastic atmosphere and vibes. Highly recommend!

ground floor is piano bar, basement was jazz bar so nice place, good music good drinks enjoyed so much. Had 2 tab beers and 1 cosmopolitan cocktail, it was amazing night

We went there to listen to a band and had a great night. It was just what we needed, great band, great atmosphere with terrific sound. The barman served us a Manhattan cocktail which was delicious. I would highly recommend with place if you are chasing real live music with a classy atmosphere. We will be returning for sure👍

Discovered this piano bar on Saturday night out with friends - after dinner. We were highly impressed with the place. Live music is back and after a night at the Doo-Bop Bar it certainly reminded us what we had been missing. It felt like a safe place, had super friendly and engaging staff. Drink prices wet reasonable for bar like this that has no cover charge. Luckily, we were there for both the early and late piano men shows. Pretty sure it was Shane Parry we saw after 10pm and Michael Hynes earlier. Both had the party going the singalongs . They is also a basement jazz bar we didn’t venture into, but our friends said it was certainly worth a visit.

This place was surprisingly amazing, my partner and I had an awesome night listening to the live music, the bands were funky and engaging, cocktails were tasty, beer was cold, staff were attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome on what for us was a shotgun decision to get out and have some cocktails to break up our day.

Melbourne has Paris cat and Brisbane has here. Didn’t expect to enjoy this high quality jazz piano show. Was gonna stay one hour but decided to order another drink and enjoy for another hour. Definitely worth it, will revisit next time. The jazz pianist and singer who performed on the 12 of June 2024 was fantastic and super talented. Wish to see him next time!

No idea about the food here, but the atmosphere and bar staff are awesome. The music is so good and the drinks are great. Also love the couches at the back for those who just want to appreciate the music. Coincidentally ended up here twice in a week and loved it both times. Shout out again to the bar staff.

We came here after our work Christmas lunch last Friday & it was a vibe! The pianist is really good and the bartenders have excellent customer service! Can’t wait to go back 😍

The live music was AMAZING, and the seating arrangements were comfortable. Book your table or couch close to the live music by email at least a week before. Arrive within a window of 10-25 minutes....or you'll lose it. **NO FOOD** **NO FOOD** **NO FOOD** SERVICE Friendly, upbeat for all your non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. ATMOSPHERE Very much an older Millennial to Gen X vibe. There are older and younger people present.....but that's my take. OVERALL Get there early, sit back and chill with friends. It's the type of place you could take your mum, Grandma,or Aunt to for a good night out. The musican we had on the night handed out a QR code and took requests. You can tell which selections he enjoyed very easily....his playing reflects his level of enthusiasm.
